Speaker bio:
Isabell Eberlein considers herself a political cyclist. For her cycling is more than a mode of transport but a vehicle to transform society for the better – ecologically and socially. As the Co-CEO of Velokonzept she develops new formats of collaboration and brings together various stakeholders (industry, civil society, academics, politics and administration) to promote cycling. She holds a Master Degree in Environmental Policy and Planning from Free and Technical University of Berlin and a Bachelor in Political Science from University of Regensburg.
At Velokonzept she curates events for the cycling industry and the German Ministry of Transport (BMVI). She co-hosts the BIKEBRAINPOOL – a think tank from industry leaders where new topics and trends are initiated and promoted. Currently, she focuses on the topics of CSR, innovation and diversity. With her new project OKAPI she consults business and the public sector to transform their commuting behaviour and mobility management.
One of her key interests is the promotion of women and cycling. She is a founding member of Women in Cycling, she co-initiated the purpleride on International Women’s day for more diversity in cycling and she organized the VELOWomen conference at VELOBerlin. Beyond the bicycle sphere she is a part of Women in Mobility and a keynote speaker.
