Speaker bio:

Andrew Fleury is a CEO & Co-Founder at Luna Systems.

Andrew has spent the last two decades exclusively dedicated to the fields of telematics, fleet management and intelligent vehicles. In 2020, he co-founded Luna with the mission of applying high-end tech to solve the common challenges facing the wide scale adoption of urban micromobility. The company has since signed partnership deals with the majority of the world’s leading shared e-scooter operators and has ambitious plans to extend its technology into other modes of micro-mobility. Luna’s computer vision-based sidewalk and pedestrian detection are helping to safeguard the future for urban micro-mobility, offering irrefutable confirmation to shared e-scooter operators and city authorities that scooters are being ridden in a safe way. Luna’s solution also generates valuable and actionable data insights and is therefore valuable from a variety of smart city applications.

Keynote name:
How Computer Vision Will Help Ensure A Safe Future For The E-Bike Industry
Keynote description:
Applications of Computer Vision have soared in the past year. However, while many of these are far from fruition, in the micromobility space it is quickly becoming a frontline solution to control shared fleets with visual, irrefutable and real-time proof of location – keeping both riders and vulnerable pedestrians safer. Similar to ADAS for cars the benefits are enormous – from vehicle detection & classification to situational awareness and theft prevention. Andrew will give an overview on the kinds of ebike use cases that could benefit from smart camera technology.
