Speaker bio:
Felix Beyer works at the Federal Ministry for Climate Action Republic of Austria and is responsible for the Federal Cycling Coordination. Growing up in Dresden/GER cycling always played a central role in his life. Being a transport planner and traffic engineer by training his passion for high class cycling infrastructure and the integration of cycling in urban planning was especially amplified by the Erasmus year at TU Delft/NL and the velo-city conference in Copenhagen/DK. After 15 years as transport consultant with Rosinak & Partner in Vienna, he decided to fully dedicate his engagement for cycling on the federal level in Austria.

Klimaaktiv mobil – the federal buster for walking, cycling and mobility management
Keynote description:
The federal klimaaktiv mobil programme for promotion of active mobility and mobility management plays a crucial role in reaching the aims set in the Austrian 2030 Mobility Master Plan for walking and cycling. By a great variety of different actions and funding schemes on all federal levels and for different target groups it prepares the basis for growing numbers in cycling in Austria. Besides a general overview of the klimaaktiv mobil programme, the talk focuses on the development of the federal funding schemes for e-bikes, cargo-bikes and folding bikes for private individuals and for companies and gives an outlook into the near future of the programme.
